If your child attends Heron Way Primary School, or you are a member of staff, you are automatically a member of the schools’ Parent Teacher Association (PTA).
The aim of our PTA is to provide fun and entertaining events for our children (and their parents/carers). These events are not only social; they also help to raise money to improve equipment and facilities at Heron Way School that will benefit our children.
Heron Way PTA consistently raises in excess of £10,000 per year, which has paid for:
- New computers in the ICT Suite
- State-of-the-art Audio Visual system and Widescreen projector in the main hall which has transformed school plays and concerts
- Netball kits
- Gardening Equipment
- New books in the Library
- School trips
These funds are raised through a variety of annual events, including:
- Summer Fete
- Fireworks Night
- Halloween Family Disco
- Christmas Disco
- Christmas Bazaar
- Quiz Nights
- 10k trail run and children’s fun run
- Family Photo Days
- Film Shows
We’re also open to new ideas, many of which come from new PTA members whose children join Heron Way each year.
